Ky Cares Foundation works hard to positively affect the lives of the youth in the N. KY, Cincinnati, and Southwest Louisiana communities. Ky Cares reaches children through football, cheer, and dance camps, athletic scholarships, and also many motivational speeches in churches and schools.
The camp was a success with over 320 youth in attendance. However, in just one year our attendance doubled to 650 campers in March of 2011. The two day camp, was an opportunity for the children to receive hands on training and mentorship from leading NFL athletes, professional cheerleaders, and dancers. With all of the financial support that was given by sponsors, the community and leaders of the areas in which these children come from, hundreds of kids living at or below the poverty level were provided scholarships to attend the camp. The Kyries Hebert Scholarship was also awarded to the student athlete with the highest GPA to assist with furthering their education.
Aside from creating programs to enrich the lives of youth; Ky Cares foundation is also dedicated to taking an active role in fundraising for Breast Cancer research. Kyries’ birthday happens to be during the month of October and with October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month he uses his birthday as an opportunity promote this cause. Therefore, Ky Cares foundation will continue to host an annual Breast Cancer awareness event.
